We are visiting Mount Rainier National Park this week and as of now, it is still hard to see the beautiful Mountain. This is the best I could get, actually I am not even sure it is under those clouds. We are hoping the sun will come out in a few days and we can get some awesome photos to share with you.

  1. Mount Rainier is an active volcano located in the southeast of Seattle, Washington.
  2. It last erupted in 1894. It is a part of the Cascade Range and also the highest mountain in Washington with a height of 14,411 feet. This range is a long stretch of volcanic mountains around 800 miles.
  3. One of the world’s most massive volcanoes, Mount Rainier can dominate the skyline for 100 miles before you reach the park named after it.
  4. Mount Rainier is the highest mountain in Washington and is believed to be at least 500,000 years old.
  5. Nearly three miles in height, Mount Rainier is the tallest peak in the Cascade Range; it dwarfs 6,000-foot surrounding summits, appearing to float alone among the clouds.
  6. Mount Rainier is considered one of the most dangerous volcanoes in the world.
