“National Park Campground”

Campground Review | Gulpha Gorge | Hot Springs, Arkansas

Gulpha Gorge Campground | Hot Springs, Arkansas

Gulpha Gorge Campground is the only campground in the Hot Springs National Park we arrived late on Thursday so we had to stay overnight at Walmart. Only one Walmart in town allows for overnight camping. Call ahead to make sure it is allowed.

We got up bright and early on Friday to get to the park bright and early to get a site. The campground fills up fast especially on the weekends, so arrive early if you can. There are 43 sites, that cost anywhere from $30 per site. We enjoyed our stay at the nice wooded campground.

Amenities/Activities

Amenities at the Gulpha Gorge Campground include running water, flush toilets but NO showers, grills, and picnic tables, dump station.  All sites have full hookups: 30 and 50 amp electric, water, and sewer connections.

Many hiking trails begin at the campground, and historic Bathhouse Row is a short drive. Close to downtown but not walking distance to stores and restaurants. There is a creek running through behind the campsites. There is also a swimming hole but heard there could be snakes so we didn’t go swimming.
