“Nice State Park, Near the City!” Bird Creek Campground Bird Creek Campground is located halfway between Anchorage and Girdwood in the Chugach State Park. The campground offers wooded sites with fire rings and picnic tables, water, and clean vault toilets, walking/biking trail, and hiking.
