Journey to Alaska Episode 09 – Breakdowns and Hot Springs

Liard River Hot Springs

Liard River Hot Springs

The highlight of this day was the relaxing hot springs we finally made it too after we broke down on the Alaskan Highway, in the middle of nowhere Canada. We have heard so much about these hot springs that they were a MUST stop for us.

We stopped in to stay overnight at the campground (review coming soon) and to check out these popular hot springs, we are very happy we did. It was our first hot springs and now we want to go back.

Liard River Hot Springs Provincial Park is in British Columbia, Canada. It is home to the largest natural hot springs in Canada. It is a natural river of hot water rather than a spring-fed man-made pool. The park contains a warm water swamp and boreal forest which supports rich and diverse plant communities as well as mammal and bird species. -Wikipedia

Breakdowns and Hot Springs

Breakdowns happen and we are so lucky Aaron got us back on the road, plus the help of a nice family that stopped to see if we were okay.

We agree that Liard River Hot Springs should be on everyone’s bucket list if traveling to Alaska.
