Oregon is an amazingly beautiful place to visit. Another amazing adventure was our day trip to Ecola State Park, Cannon Beach, and Crescent Beach from our base camp at LL Stub Stewart State Park, about an hour away from the Oregon coast.

We stumbled upon the Crescent Beach Trail inside Ecola State Park and hiked it down to Crescent Beach, it was AMAZING. It blew us away! Wow! The 2 miles out and back trail took us about an hour each way. Although I was wearing flip flops it was worth every uncomfortable step. After all, I did show up to walk on the beach not realizing we would have to hike an hour to get to the said beach. I have since put my hiking boots in the truck so I’ll be prepared next time; flip flops are not recommended for this trail.  ????

We had the entire beach to ourselves and had a blast running around with Maggie and looking at interesting shells/sea life. There were quite a few shells, broken sand dollars, crab parts and small jellyfish strewn about the beach. Maggie had never seen a beach like this, let alone to the ocean. She had a blast and slept very well that night.

Oregon Coast

San Diego is one of our favorite “vacation” spots and we love the beaches there, however, water at the Oregon beaches seemed so much cleaner and clearer than in San Diego. Don’t get me wrong it’s beautiful in Southern California but the water seemed so much prettier in Oregon. Oregon has stolen our hearts. Cheesy I know, but maybe its time to re-evaluate our favorite “vacation” spots lol

If you are ever near the Oregon Coast you have to check out Ecola State Park, Crescent and Cannon Beaches. You won’t be disappointed.

Well, we’re off to Washington State to explore Mount Rainier and so much more! We will be coming back to explore more of the Oregon coast in a few weeks and I cannot wait! We are excited to explore Seattle and the Puget Sound area before heading on to Vancouver Island, BC.  Let the adventure continue……!

See you in Washington!

Don’t forget to see all the photos we took in our Photo Gallery.
