Bass Pro Shops – Major Tourist Trap
The original @bassproshops location in Springfield, Mo. is affectionately known as The Granddaddy of All Outdoor Stores. This massive outdoor-themed experience is the number one tourist destination in Missouri.
Boasting nearly 500,000 square-feet of immersive shopping fun. This Bass Pro offers visitors with one of the largest assortments of outdoor gear, apparel, and gifts under one roof.
Extra Events
You could spend all day at this Bass Pro as there are few museums and a fish aquarium you can tour for an extra price. We found the extra attractions to be a bit pricey and decided to skip this aquarium at $32.95+ per person for adults.
However, there are many free events listed on the Bass Pro website, as well. We enjoyed just spending a few hours walking around and seeing everything. Maybe one day we will go back and do more. In addition, there are seasonal family events if you have small children that look fun.
